 Cuddly Bear Wear began in the summer of 2005, when my daughter had a “Bring a Bear to school day”. This is a day when the whole of her school could bring their favourite toy to school for the day. Just for fun I decided her favourite toy cat, called Twinkie, could not go to school without a uniform, and so I went in search for a school cardigan, tee-shirt and skirt and re-cycled my daughters age 6 school clothes to fit her favourite cuddly toy Twinkie, who is an average size cuddly toy of approx 36cm (14”).
 So off she went to school the next morning, with a few smiles from passers by, and a few of her friends looking slightly bemused at how could this have possibly have happened. I then said goodbye to my daughter at school when the morning whistle went and carried on with my day. When school had finished I was there waiting for my daughter to come out of her class. She took longer than usual so I went to the classroom to see what the hold up was. Her teacher was smiling, and then gave me a sticker for good work. My daughter then came out of her classroom and continued to tell me how I now had orders from her friends in her class. I laughed and said “Why not!”
